FAQ
Who do you treat?
Clarion Psychiatry works with executives, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals who need discreet, high-quality psychiatric care that fits around demanding schedules. Many of our patients are managing the pressures of leadership roles alongside anxiety, depression, burnout, insomnia, or other mental health concerns and need a provider who understands that context.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Clarion Psychiatry is a private-pay practice. We do not bill insurance directly, which allows us to offer longer appointments, same-week availability, and a level of personalization that insurance-based practices typically cannot. Upon request, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement, though reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific plan.
How much do appointments cost?
Initial evaluation fee and follow-up session fee.] Fees are discussed and confirmed before your first appointment, so there are no surprises.
What happens during the first appointment?
Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation, typically [60–90 minutes], during which we review your psychiatric history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. This visit forms the foundation of a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication management, referrals, or coordination with other providers you work with.
Do you offer telepsychiatry?
Yes. We offer secure, confidential video appointments for patients who travel frequently or prefer the convenience of meeting from home or the office. Telepsychiatry is available for both initial evaluations and follow-up visits, depending on your state of residence and applicable licensing requirements.
How is my privacy protected?
Discretion is central to how we practice. We do not bill insurance (which limits the number of parties who see your records), we use secure, HIPAA-compliant systems for all communication and telehealth visits, and our scheduling and intake processes are designed to minimize unnecessary disclosure. We're happy to discuss any specific privacy or confidentiality concerns you have before your first visit.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a broad range of psychiatric concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, burnout, mood disorders, and stress related to high-pressure careers.
Will I be working with you directly, or with other providers?
Dr. Amar personally conducts all initial evaluations. Follow-up care may be provided by Dr. Amar or a member of his clinical team, depending on your treatment plan and scheduling needs.
How quickly can I be seen?
We understand that timing matters. For urgent concerns, please call our office directly rather than submitting a request through the website.
Do you prescribe controlled substances (e.g., stimulants, benzodiazepines)?
Yes, when clinically appropriate and as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Controlled substance prescriptions are managed carefully and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Can you coordinate care with my therapist, primary care doctor, or other specialists?
Yes. With your written consent, we're glad to coordinate with other members of your care team to ensure a unified, well-managed treatment approach.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can request a private consultation by emailing info@clarionpsychiatry.com or calling 888-687-0123. A member of our team will follow up to confirm availability and next steps.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24–48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
